Work With Us
We are looking for energetic, creative, and responsible adults with a strong desire to make a difference to join our team. An ideal candidate will show initiative in building authentic relationships with healthy boundaries and will be motivated to help our youth by giving compassionate care around accountability. Any out-of-home placement is traumatic, especially for young adults; so being empathetic and trauma informed is critical to the job.
Most importantly, if you come to work with us at S.T.A.R.S., you will be joining a team. The success of this program relies on our staff being able to work together and thrive in a group setting, in order to role-model team building strategies to our residents; so that they, in turn, can learn and master this fundamental and critical life skill.
We currently have immediate openings for full-time, part-time, and weekend, evening and overnight Residential Counselors.
We have the following shifts available:
1. Wednesdays through Fridays 4pm-12am and Saturdays 12pm-12am
2. Sundays 12pm-12am, Mondays through Wednesdays 4pm-12am
3. Overnight shifts Midnight-8:30am during the week and Midnight-Noon on the weekend (Saturday or Sunday).
4. Saturdays and Sundays weekly Noon-Midnight
There are no day shift positions available at this time.
Part-time employment requires at least two weekend shifts a month.
In order to be considered, applicants must be over 21, have at least six months paid or volunteer experience working with children or teens (having your own children does not meet this requirement), be able to pass a background check, have a valid drivers license and an enthusiastic attitude. College degree in human services field, psychology, or related field preferred but not required.
Please do not submit your resume if you cannot meet these requirements or are not able to work these shifts.
